India - Kashmir & Ladakh (Dah/Nubra)

Photo Tour.

Join us for a new photographic journey into the unknown.

Join us on a new photographic journey through the breathtaking landscapes of Kashmir and Ladakh, where the majestic Himalayas meet vibrant culture and timeless traditions. Our adventure begins in Srinagar, the heart of Kashmir, where we immerse ourselves in the charm of its old city. Wander through narrow alleys, capturing the essence of bustling markets, intricately carved wooden architecture, and the serene Dal Lake, where we sleep on a traditional shikara houseboat.

Next, we head to a remote mountain pass, never previously visited by any photography tour group, where we encounter nomadic tribes, capturing their lifestyle against the backdrop of breathtaking valleys and snow-capped peaks. From here, our journey takes us to Sonamarg, known as the “Meadow of Gold”, boasting picturesque landscapes with alpine meadows, glaciers, and gushing streams. Continuing our adventure, we cross the border from Kashmir to Ladakh and arrive at Lamayuru, renowned for its ancient monasteries and lunar-like landscapes. We'll explore the intricately adorned monastery, perched atop a hill, and capture the interplay of light and shadow amidst its sacred halls and prayer flags.

We travel onwards to Dah, a remote village nestled in the heart of the Himalayas against a backdrop of rugged mountains and pristine valleys. Finally, we'll reach Leh, the vibrant capital of Ladakh, and venture into the mystical Nubra Valley, with its sand dunes and snow-capped peaks as well as the ancient monasteries of Diskit and Hundar, and the double-humped Bactrian camels which are unique to this region.

This adventure tour will be led by Ashfaq Rah, a native of Kashmir who is not only a seasoned photographer but also a second-generation tour operator with a deep understanding of the culture, history, and traditions of the region. He'll provide valuable insights and guidance to help you capture the essence of Kashmir and Ladakh through your lens.
