Join our exciting new tour of Gujarat, offering ancient architecture, vibrant tribal traditions, and craftspeople practicing vanishing arts. This tour is for photography enthusiasts who want to capture stunning heritage sites and intimate portraits of artisan communities. We start in Ahmedabad, exploring the colourful flower market before visiting the magnificent Jama Masjid. We journey to Jambughoda to document traditional Pithora painting and explore the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Champaner. We visit the Kavant tribal market, where communities in traditional attire gather to trade handwoven textiles and crafts. Next, we head to Muli, where the royal family conducts the sacred evening aarti ceremony. We explore architectural marvels including the 11th-century Modhera Sun Temple and the Rani ki Vav stepwell in Patan. In Hodka village, we document the iconic Bhunga mud houses with exquisite mirror work. We conclude in Bhuj, visiting Nirona village to photograph artisans practicing endangered crafts. This adventure will be led by Ashfaq Rah, an Indian national who is not only a seasoned photographer but also a second-generation tour operator with a deep understanding of the culture, history, and traditions of the region.
